Ph.D. Student in Computer Science
School of Computer Science and Engineering, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem
I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science focusing on fast matrix multiplication algorithms. My research interests include parallel computing, fast matrix multiplication, algorithmis linear algebra, high performance computing, supercomputing, schientific computing, accelerating algorithms by reducing communication costs.
Noa Vaknin is a Ph.D. candidate supervised by Prof. Oded Schwartz, in the Computer Science Department at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she received her master's and bachelor's degrees (with honors). Her research focuses on accelerating matrix multiplication based on Strassen's 1969 algorithm combining both theoretical and implementational aspects, including communication and computation reductions.
Her work has been published, and she has presented at several international conferences. Vaknin's research is funded by the Clore Foundation and by the Council for Higher Education (Vatat), and has been granted multiple awards.
