Abstract:

In this talk I am going to speak mostly about the basic mechanisms of
vision --- focusing on the eye itself, and on V1, the first real
processing area of vision. Afterwards, we will briefly examine some
theories regarding object recognition in the brain, and look at the
partial correlation to computer vision algorithms.
