About Me

My main field of research is information theory. In my MSc and PhD theses, I have focused on the role that structured codes play in wireless communication, from both theoretic and practical aspects. I have also worked on the development and analysis of low-complexity lossy compression schemes for sources that are correlated in time or in space. I am very interested in bounds and estimates on fundamental information theoretic measures, when the underlying distributions are too complex to admit straightforward calculation. My interests further include problems in coding theory and zero-error communication. I completed my MSc and PhD degreed in Tel Aviv University, where I was lucky to have Prof. Uri Erez as my advisor. Before joining HUJI, I have spent two wonderfull years as a postdoc in MIT and Boston University, working with Yury Polyanskiy and Bobak Nazer.

I am looking for postdocs, PhD and Master students. A partial list of available projects include:

  • Basic questions in information theory (some of those are related to analysis of boolean functions and to learning theory)

  • Fundamental limits and efficient communication schemes for the internet of things

  • New paradigm for data aquisition
