This emotional discussion is filled with panic. As one who attended the meeting with Rina Zamir and the top officials of 'Misrad Hashikun', I would like to clear the matter up. We asked to build an additional 'Shul' and Mikve' due to the fact that a large percentage of the residents of our neighborhood needs these services. According to Va'adat Brodet, in an ordinary neighborhood one shul will be built for every 2000 families and one mikve for every 4000 families. However, in a religious neighborhood, these buildings will be given for smaller number of families.We've asked to take into consideration the great number of families who need these services. We had NO intention, and neither did the Misrad Hashikun, to turn this neighborhod into a Haredi Community. It was made clear to everyone that this would be done without any link or harm to the general budget for the services givento the general community. Whoever claims that Ms. Rina Zamir would help make this community a Haredi one, doesn' realize who this woman is. ( Three years ago she sent a letter to Contractors forbidding themto sell apartments to Hareidim). All the representatives of Misrad Hashikun who were present at the meeting were 'Hilonim Le'Mehadrin'. (except for one, Dati-Le'umi) Eyal Shenhav
