Hashmonaem Local Council
Dec. 2002 -- Dec. 2007I serve as a member of our local city council, representing the "Tachlis" list. My sub-committee memberships are currently:
- Chairman: Development committee We are responsible for directing a 10,000,000 NIS project to improve our communities sidewalks, streets and walkways. Our committee directs the project architect and developers in the execution of this project. Of course, we serve as the focal point for all criticism and input from the residents.
- Chairman: Infrastructure committee We try and set long term goals for community infrastructure, including zoning, parking, and future public buildings.
- Member: Finance committee We serve as an oversight committee to review proposed budget plans and quarterly financial reports.
- Member: Sports committee We are responsible for setting policy on sports activities in the community. Our budget does toward subsidising youth activities.
Central Committee: Yisrael B´Aliyah
2003 -- 2004I served as an elected representative of Hashmonaem to the Central Committee of Natan Sharansky´s Yisrael B´Aliyah party. The party merged with the Likud in 2004.
