While sitting around one evening, we asked
the kids if they could list places that we were going to see on our trip.
To our astonishment, the six of them could not name more than two or
three places total! Well, we know how to fix that. Homework! Each child must choose four places that we are planning on visiting. They fill out a form that we put together and write a short essay. The essay must be at least as many sentences as they are old (14 sentences for the 14 year old). If they cannot write yet, then they can draw a picture or dictate their thoughts.
