TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING & COMPUTER SCIENCE – 2013-14
The School of Engineering and Computer Science at the Hebrew University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at all levels.
We are seeking applicants from the following major areas:
- Computer Engineering:
Including: signal processing; information theory; communication systems and networks; control theory; software engineering; VLSI design; analog circuits and systems.
- Computer Science:
- Applied Physics:
Including: nanophotonics; MEMS in particular micro fluidic devices; organic devices; bio-electronic and bio-photonic systems and devices; ultrafast lasers, in particular attosecond lasers; nonlinear optical imaging and device characterization; unconventional optical phenomena such as negative index of refraction and plasmon guided light; teraherz light sources and imaging; quantum computing and quantum communication devices and systems.
Faculty candidates are expected to have a strong interest and track record in research, outstanding academic credentials, and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate education. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree. Postdoctoral research experience is highly recommended, although we will consider exceptional candidates without postdoctoral experience.
Higher priority will be given to the overall originality and promise of the candidate's work, rather than to the candidate's sub-area of specialization.
A successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels and to build and lead a team of graduate students in M.Sc. and Ph.D. research.
