Everlab Workshop Notes June 8th, 2006 Jerusalem SICS: Firewall deployment is inconvenient because of the two stage problem. Dimes: Would like access to more limited data for the P2P community (a full mesh latency map between a sample of several thousand of nodes). Provide an remote API for measuring distances between two nodes. Documentation would be helpful. UCL: tools are sufficient for our work ORSAY: Would like to put some nodes on the cluster. Would like to have AFS support. follow up with the sys admins in Orsay. ISI: Will utilize the existing clusters. Would like to have AFS. TUC: Are interested in deploying a distributed search service on EverLab. Aston: Needs MPICH2 ASAP. Concern that there is in-equality with some sites providing less resources than others. Paris: Can we put more default packages on the slices (unzip,g77?) Rome: Join ASAP with four nodes. Needs MPI. HUJI: Setup a user mailing list for sharing Everlab issues and ideas.
