eMule is a popular file sharing application which is based on the eDonkey protocol. The eMule report describes the eDonkey protocol, the eMule extensions to that protocol and the eMule application logic which employs the protocol for file sharing. The information presented here is based on a the open source eMule client and on the official eMule website. The main contribution of this document is providing a detailed description of the eDonkey protocol and the eMule extensions to it. The eMule report was created by Yoram Kulbak with the help and guidance of Danny Bickson. |
